What do i need to bring with me

What to bring

Although we encourage you to travel light, we also want to make sure that you have everything that you need to make the most of your camp. Most of this is common sense but it's worth a read. There is an extensive sports shop in the resort so if you do forget anything then you may be able to find it in there, but better to be safe than sorry.

So in order, here’s the suggested packing list, split down by sport and essential versus recommended, along with notes. We have included a link to a printable/downloadable version for you so that when you pack, you can tick as you go.

Swim list

Essential

  • Normal swim kit i.e. Swim wear, goggles, hat etc.

  • Paddles and pull buoy

  • Towel for poolside

Recommended/optional

  • Wetsuit (optional but recommended)

  • Snorkel if you own one and swim fins (not the snorkelling/dive type)

  • Spare goggles

Our pools swims are quite early in the mornings and a wetsuit can help during warm-up. The hotel is on the beach and although the sea is mild, a wetsuit may be useful

Bike

Essential

  • Helmet (compulsory)

  • Normal bike kit (Spare shorts & tops recommended)

  • Drinks bottles

  • Usual spare tubes, canisters (just not packed into hand luggage!)

Recommended/optional

  • Bike computer

  • Arm warmers

  • Make sure you are equipped with at least 3 spare inner tubes, one spare tyre

  • Rain jacket

  • Race bike (if you’re travelling with your bike)

  • Pedals and computer mount (if you’re hiring)

We encourage you to bring the bike that you’ll be racing on as we feel that it’s important to train to race. If you’re hiring please note that the hire bikes are provided with their own pedals so you will want to bring your own and associated cleats etc. You do not need to bring anything other than any tools that are very specific to your bike. We have tools, pumps, and “on the road” spares.

If you use electronic gearing remember to charge your batteries or better still bring your charger. We can sometimes climb quite high and the temperature is lower than the coast so pack some warm layers

Run

Essential

  • Normal run kit (don’t forget your training shoes)

  • Cap / race visor

  • Trisuit (optional but good for brick sessions)

Nutrition

We will provide water and snacks. But please bring any gels / bars that you normally use plus any recovery drinks

Miscellaneous

  • Everything you need for when you're not training

  • Swim shorts / swim suit

  • Books, iPad, Kindle etc

  • Ear Plugs

  • Non-training kits

  • Evenings can be cool so bring a jumper or sweatshirt

  • Daypack / swim bag

  • Sunglasses

  • Sunscreen

  • Travel insurance documentation

  • Foam Roller.

  • Power adapter, if you know you are sharing with friends then decide between you who brings what so that you can cut down on the packing size/share the load.

  • Credit cards are widely accepted but you will need Euros for lunch, drinks etc.

  • A good travel wash should mean that you can limit yourself to as little as two of everything. The resort also provides shampoo, shower wash etc.

  • Rooms have kettles and coffee making facilities.

  • Free WiFi is available throughout the resort. However, download speeds are less than in the UK so download any films before you leave.

  • The resort has a small supermarket that is open 7 days a week and sells most things you could need from bottled water through to fresh bread baked daily.

  • Whilst we have additional kit it is worth brining anything unusual (inhalers etc.)

  • There is both a dedicated sports store on the resort as well as the mechanics shop they have there as well.
